GILMER COUNTY, W. Va. (WDTV) -- On Thursday, students in all 55 counties across the state were out of the classroom for the first day of the school personnel walk-out.

According to the West Virginia Department of Education, public schools in all 55 counties are closed Friday, as well.
Teachers and school personnel have been joined by students and other supporters along the sidewalks.
Earlier this week, Attorney General Patrick Morrisey said any work stoppage of any kind, for any period of time, is illegal in the Mountain State.
