Ribbon cutting held for House of Hope

FAIRMONT, W. Va. (WDTV)- The second part of a renovation to a building that provides shelter and services to victims of domestic and sexual assault was unveiled Wednesday in Marion County.

The House of Hope helps victims and their families from Marion, Harrison, Lewis, Doddridge, and Gilmer counties.

Hope Inc, which is a task force on domestic violence, has been providing services for decades. Just two years ago, renovations to this shelter began. The living quarters, kitchen and bathrooms were finished last year. Phase two, just finished. After such a long process, and the cutting of a ribbon, the House of Hope officially opened in Fairmont.
