UPDATE: Two people taken to the hospital after accident on I-79, roadway cleared

HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. (WDTV) -- UPDATE
Officials say the roadway is clear.

State Police are investigating.
UPDATE
According to officials, two people were taken to United Hospital Center from the accident.

They say the accident happened in the southbound lanes, but a vehicle did end up in the northbound lanes as a result of the accident.

There is no word on the extent of those injuries.

UPDATE
According to the Harrison County 911 log, the accident involved three vehicles.

Anmoore Fire, Stonewood Fire, Nutter Fort Fire, Anmoore EMS, Harrison County EMS, and State Police responded.

There is still no word on injuries at this time.
