BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) -- Harrison County Schools Superintendent Dr. Mark Manchin says it is his understanding, from conversations with authorities, that Joshua Nicewarner confessed Friday to the allegations that he tried to seduce a 14-year-old girl.

Manchin says that supposed confession led him to make the decision that he would recommend Nicewarner's termination at Tuesday evening's Board of Education meeting.

Manchin also confirmed the 14-year-old accuser is a student in the Harrison County school system.

As 5 News reported yesterday, Manchin says Nicewarner could resign this week.
