Fairmont murder suspect arrested in Delaware

FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WDTV) - The United States Marshal Service arrested a man in connection to a murder in Fairmont.

According to a press release, 28-year-old Oscar Chapman (aka “Rico”) was arrested in Delaware.

Chapman was arrested on a 1st Degree Murder warrant in connection with the murder November of 27-year-old Malcolm Whitted.

Chapman along with five other individuals allegedly planned and participated in a home invasion style robbery at a home in Fairmont on November 17 which resulted in the shooting death of Whitted of Detroit, MI.

Chapman was arrested without incident.

One fugitive remains at large from the alleged incident which has also been referred to the US Marshals for apprehension responsibility.
