BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - This morning we woke up to temperatures thankfully warmer than yesterday, widespread middle and upper 40's across NCWV. Temperatures have continued to warm into this afternoon with a few peaks of sunshine. Showers have been light and scattered and most of the region has remained dry.
All of that changes tonight as moisture is being pulled into the area by high pressure to our east. Rain showers will likely become more widespread after sunset and continue through the overnight hours and into tomorrow as well. Steady rain in the forecast for tomorrow as a cold front approaches the region. Tomorrow, temperatures remain mild, but Thursday night the cold front sweeps the area and temperatures begin to drop dramatically. Rain showers will likely turn to snow showers early Friday morning.
