BUCKHANNON, W. Va. (WDTV) -- The Upshur County Board of Education met on Monday and on the agenda was the discussion of make-up missed days due to the work stoppage.
The county's Superintendent Roy Wager presented the board with three different options. He said many parents have been calling his office as they're worried their kids might lose spring break or have fewer days of summer vacation.
After talking to them, Wager added a new option that will keep spring break from March 26 to April 2nd. However, during those days it will be a little different for teachers.
"For those days for spring break will be days that the teachers will work and do professional development at their schools," said Wager.
The last day of school will be set for June 1.
