ROANOKE, V.a. (WDTV) -- A group of property owners has filed a complaint in federal court, challenging the constitutionality of decisions made by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the Mountain Valley Pipeline.

According to a press release, the Motion asks the United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia, Roanoke Division, for assistance in preventing the FERC from granting the power of eminent domain to the pipeline and preventing the pipeline from using the power.

The Virginia law firm Gentry Locke is handling the case.
