Voters react to road bond results

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. (WDTV) - After Saturday's election, we went out to speak to some of the voters to see what they thought of the results.

Despite a low voter turnout, locals were satisfied to see the results of the election. One resident in particular said she votes in every election, and made time early to do so.

"I vote all the time," this voter said. "We voted before we went away, I was the fourth person at my voting poll, my husband was the third."

This resident is happy with the results and looks forward to seeing road improvements throughout the state.

"I voted for it because we need the roads," she said. "If you want to get tourists to come here, we need to make it easy to come here."

Others we talked to said they disagree and fear this will end up costing them more money out of their pockets down the road.
