WV ALF-CIO president elected at convention

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WDTV) -- The West Virginia ALF-CIO elected Josh Sword as their 29th Constitutional Convention.

Sword has served as the organization’s president since the retirement of former president Kenny Purdue last December.

Before becoming president, Sword served as Secretary-Treasurer of the WV AFL-CIO since 2013 and has previously worked for the American Federation of Teachers-West Virginia, from 1999 to 2012.
