WESTON, W.Va. (WDTV) - Monday night at Jackson's Mill, West Virginia Boy's State held a special ceremony and presented an individual with a couple special gifts.

The American Legion West Virginia Boy's State presented an American Flag and a West Virginia state flag to West Virginia University for the help the university has given the program through the years.

There to receive the flags was WVU President, Dr. E. Gordon Gee. Gee also gave a speech to a packed house of boy's state members. He says his overall message to these young men is that they're all leaders and they need to make an impact in everything they do.

"My overall message in my speech is that they are leaders," said Dr. Gee. "You have to learn how to be a leader, but also make certain that through leadership they're making a difference in the world."
