BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (WDTV) -- A woman from Buckhannon has been selected as West Virginia Wesleyan College's new Registrar.

Tammy Frederick has been appointed to the position and will take the place of Alice Creasman. Fredrick had previously served as Assistant Registrar.

"As Registrar, Frederick will maintain the academic records of all current and former students, plan and implement the class registration process, prepare the academic course schedule, determine students’ graduation eligibility, and serve various College councils," officials say.

“When this position opened up with the unexpected departure of Alice Creasman, I decided it was an opportunity and challenge for me professional to utilize my interest in technology to work toward moving the functionality of the office forward with new initiatives,” Frederick stated.
