WVWC to present "Everybody"

BUCKHANNON, W.Va. (WDTV) -- West Virginia Wesleyan College’s Department of Theatre and Dance will perform the play Everybody on November 9 and 10 at 8 p.m. and November 11 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

According to a press release, the show follows Everybody, a character chosen from the cast by lottery at each performance, on their journey “down a road toward life’s greatest mystery: death.” Along the way, the character is faced with questions about how they lived their life.

The play is directed by Visiting Professor Saine with costume design by guest artist Gregory Horton, scene and lighting design by Wesleyan’s technical theatre director Keith Saine, sound design by Bri Conley of Roanoke, VA, as well as special music direction by Shelby Williams of Buckhannon, WV and Patrick Withers of Daniels, WV, and choreography by members of the Wesleyan acrobatics & tumbling team.

The cast includes Maya Eberhart of Brooklyn, NY; Jacob Fleck of Charleston, WV; Aaron Harris of Anmoore, WV; Katlin Kouns of Cross Lanes, WV; and Savannah Reese of Charleston, WV, as the Somebodies.

Additional cast members include Sarah Smith of Bristol, WV as Beauty; Charles Harper of Silver Spring, MD as Strength; Faith Bell of Harts, WV as Mind; Karly Hunt of Parkersburg, WV as Senses; Anne Wilson of Elkins, WV as Usher/God/Understanding; Brianna Underwood of Lookout, WV as Death; Jazmin Howard of Stuarts Draft, VA as Love; Ella McNeish of Buckhannon, WV as Girl; Caitlin May of Arthurdale, WV as Girl’s Mom; Brandon Ulrich of Roanoke, WV as All the Shitty Things; and Tiara Stokes of Charleston, WV and Angela Thompson of Glen Burnie, MD as Puppeteers. Members cast as the Band are Savannah Teter of Girard, OH; Issac Viars of Morgantown, WV; Chase Webb of Spencer, WV; Williams; and Withers.

Tickets to the play are $5 for Wesleyan students, faculty, and staff with ID, $7 for non-West Virginia Wesleyan College students, military servicemen, and seniors over 60, and $10 for adults. All tickets are general admission. The box office will open one hour prior to the show time.
