BRIDGEPORT, W. Va. (WDTV) - The weather pattern this weekend and early next week will be one with warmer than normal temperatures. The jet stream is the dividing line between warm and cold (high in the atmosphere). This is also reflected below, to some degree, down to ground level. With the 'jet' heading north, so too will warmer weather.
The overall flow of the atmosphere in the eastern part of the country will feature winds from the south and southwest. However, this is also going to pull more humidity north. This combination will make for milder days but also bring the chance for rain.
Right now expecting some light rain and drizzle Sunday. Then the center of the storm moves through Monday and brings rain late in the day. More rounds of rain likely to return. However, it may take until closer to next weekend (1/27 and 1/28).
