BRIDGEPORT, W.VA (WDTV) - After a season away in the NBA D-League, Joe Mazzulla is back to lead a Fairmont State team that played in the national championship game last March. Three starters have graduated but a solid core is returning.

FSU is picked second in the league's preseason poll, but for now, Mazzulla says his team has a long way to go to meet those expectations.

Glenville State features eleven new players on their roster. Stephen Dye likes the composition of his team but needs to find the right combinations.

Fairmont Senior grad Darhius Nunn started all 28 games last season as a freshman, leading the team with 110 assists. Much will be expected of the former Polar Bear.

After leading Wesleyan for the second half of last season as interim head coach Jack Meriwether has been named as the permanent leader of Bobcat basketball.

An experienced roster returns to Buckhannon that features the MEC Freshman of the Year, Luke Layhew.
