FIRST ON 5: Car Break in Arrest

The Bridgeport Police make an arrest on a man they say broke into nine cars.

Thanks to surveillance video folks saw here on News Channel Five they were able to make the arrest.

Bridgeport Police Detective's Mike Lemley and Gary Weaver brought in Adam Bowers, 22, on 16 misdemeanor charges and one felony warrant from Clarksburg Police.

Last month he reportedly broke into nine cars on Carriage Lane, and took items including wallets, money, cell phones, CD's, navigation systems, purses, and a radar detector.

Detectives brought him in along with another suspect, and Bowers was picked out of a line up.

He's charged with nine counts of entering with out breaking, seven counts of Petit Larceny, and one count of attempted breaking and entering.

In Clarksburg on August 30th, he allegedly tried to break into Dyer Insurance on Washington Avenue.

He's in the North Central Regional Jail on a $31,000 bond.
