The Upshur County Sheriff's Department has had an ongoing investigation of methamphetamine labs on Abbott Road in Adrian.

Deputies say this is the third meth lab they've busted on Abbott Road in the past 18 months.

On Friday, Deputies arrested 34 year old Michael Scott Stalnaker for operating a methamphetamine lab.

Officials say they've had problems in this area for a while now, which led them to the arrest on Friday.

Officials have also been working on combating the drug problem in this area.

Stalnaker was released on a $50,000 bond. He could face up to 5 years in jail if convicted and a fine of up to $5,000.
