A Doddridge County man is arrested after State Police in West Union find hundreds of marijuana plants in his home.

Corporal D.L. Cayton arrested John Pollard, 40, yesterday after serving a second search warrant at his home in Summers Community.

The investigation started weeks ago, when Cayton served the first search warrant for a stolen Bob Cat, and that's when they found a hydroponic marijuana grow.

Pollard apparently stole a $50,000 Bob Cat, had seven illegal firearms, and was growing 200 plants, worth about $500,000.

He's charged with illegally possessing firearms from a previous conviction, and grand larceny.

Drug charges are pending in federal or state court at this time.

The State Police, Doddridge County Sheriff's Department, and the West Union Police Department all assisted in the arrest.

Pollard is currently in the North Central Regional Jail on a $57,000 bond.
