One man is dead after being struck by a truck in Monongalia County.

It happened on Grafton Road around 6:15 Friday evening. Police say a 45-year-old man was crossing the street from west to east near the GoMart when he was struck and killed by a Ford F-250 truck.

It does not appear that alcohol or excessive speed was involved in the accident. The Morgantown Police Detective Division and Patrol Officers are continuing to investigate. But they so say a power outage caused by an earlier accident on Friday could have played a role.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name is not being released until the investigation is completed and his family is notified.
