It's been close to a month since 18 year old Jacob Allen went missing in the Dolly Sods area in Tucker County and was found alive.

Saturday afternoon folks came out to celebrate his safe return.

Edy's Ice Cream donated close to forty gallons of ice cream and the event was held at the Bear Paw Lodge at the Canaan Valley Ski Resort, the area where volunteers stayed throughout the four-day search.

Karen Allen, Jacob's mother, said that Edy's had called her the day after Jacob was released from the hospital and told her they would donate ice cream for a welcome home party.

Allen said she chose to have the party at the Ski Resort so folks in that area would get a chance to meet Jacob.

Governor Joe Manchin sent a representative on his behalf, who acknowledged crews for their effort in finding Jacob.

Ice Cream is one of Jacob Allen's favorite foods, and rescuers even yelled, "Jay Ice Cream," in hopes to find him.
