Police catch up with a man wanted in two counties.

During a routine traffic stop Saturday evening, Gilmer County Sheriff Mickey Metz arrested John Richards, 43, on four warrants out of Gilmer and Wood Counties. Richards first fled from the car and Metz chased him into the woods on foot before catching him.

Richards is charged with two counts of grand larceny and one count of breaking and entering for an incident that happened at Hardman's Lumber in Glenville and for failing to register as a sex offender in Wood County. Other charges are pending.

He's being held in the Central Region Jail in Flatwoods on a $15,000 bond.
