Power Plant Draws in Dozens of Jobs

Allegheny Energy and the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers are starting a training program that will draw in dozens of jobs.

They presented the program that will run out of the Harrison Power Plant.

Right now authorities are reaching out to young folks in the area and existing workers to boost their skills in a fast track welding program that will benefit fixing power outages.

The training includes basic welding procedures and an OSHA safety course.

The Boilermakers started this program last May in Mars, Pennsylvania.

Haywood's plant has already started training a group of fresh faces.

Officials say, they are very aggressice with meeting their goal for the quality service of their customers.
