The United States Penitentiary in Hazelton is under lockdown for the second time in the past two months. The most recent incident happened just before 3 Saturday afternoon when an inmate was assaulted by another inmate at the institution. That inmate is recovering at a local hospital after sustaining injuries to the torso and abdomen from a prison made weapon. Those injuries don't appear to be life-threatening. A statement released by public information officer David Young says this:

"The institution has been placed on lockdown status.
The institution is under control and there is no threat
to the community."

They will remain on lockdown status and the inmates will be secured in their cells until it's determined they can return to normal operations. The FBI is currently conducting an investigation into the situation.
