FIRST ON 5 UPDATE: Man arrested in deadly I-68 Accident

Police have arrested 32 year old Brian Stone of Gans, Pennsylvania in connection with last nights deadly crash on I-68. He faces five counts of DUI with death It's a story you saw First on Five on West Virginia Midday.

If Stone is found guilty he could face 10 years behind bars for each count. He also faces a 3 year sentence for third offense DUI.

The accident happened just before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday between mile markers 7 and 8 in the Westbound lane of I-68, when Stone's truck hit a car in the east bound lane between peirpont road and cheat lake. Both vehicles crossed into the west bound lane, when an SUV hit Stone's truck.

Authorities say when they arrived on scene one of the vehicles was on fire. A total of 12 people were involved in the accident. Five victims died on scene and seven people were taken to the hospital. One person was flown by Healthnet for medical treatment.

Stone's bond is set at $1.35 million and he is being held in the North central Regional Jail.

Both lanes of 1-68 were shutdown for several hours while authorities investigated the scene.
