Murder Warrants Filed Against Three in Clarksburg Homicide

Clarksburg Police have filed felony murder warrants against three people wanted in connection to the death of Clarence Leeson, 88.

Murder warrants have been filed for Megan Titus, 21, of Salem, Christopher Robey, 26 of Salem and his brother, Nicholas Robey, 19, of Salem.

Titus and Christopher Robey are currently in jail in San Diego after they were arrested Friday night on misdemeanor warrants out of Harrison County.

Harrison County Prosecuting Attorney Joe Shaffer says that San Diego Police currently have a team of 30 officers searching the area for Nicholas Robey.

According to the criminal complaint, the group discussed and planned the nighttime burglary of Leeson's Johnson Avenue home. The crime happened on August 13, 2009.

Titus is accused of driving the car, while three others entered the home and encountered Leeson.

Leeson was struck in the head with an object, which caused him to die.

The complaint says Titus drove the other three men and stolen items from the area.

Shaffer says the other suspect is a man in his early 20's, who could possibly still be in the Harrison County area.

Sergeant Jason Snider and Detective Mike Walsh have been in San Diego since Sunday working on the case. Chief Marshall Goff has commended the thourough work by the detectives.

Shaffer has said that a couple of the suspects had social ties to Leeson, and drugs could be a possible motive.

Leeson had no criminal background and was described by Shaffer as an upstanding citizen.
