Lewis County Home Destroyed After Fire

A fire Saturday afternoon in Lewis County left one family homeless.
The single story home at the intersection of Chapel Valley and Old Mill Roads caught on fire at 11 a.m., and was fully engulfed when crews arrived on seen.
Officials say it started on the back porch of the home, but quickly spread.
A woman and her children were at home when the blaze started, but suffered no injuries.
The home is a total loss, and the Jackson's Mill Fire Department is investigating.
