A local boy hopes to help make Christmas a little brighter for soliders serving overseas, but he needs your help.

6-year-old Ben Hinkle is collecting money to send "Soldier Gum" to troops.  He got the idea after buying Jolt Gum, which donates 7% of the sales from each pack to soldiers.

Ben says he wants to do this because the soldiers are fighting for our freedom and he wants them to have something for Christmas, since they're away from home.

Each pack of gum costs $1.00 and if you'd like to help make this Christmas wish come true, you can send donations to:

The deadline for donations is December 7th. 

Ben hopes to send 400 packs this year, and then do it all again next year.
