Bridgeport Bar Gets Liquor License Reinstated

A Bridgeport bar at the center of a lot of controversy is reinstated it's liquor license, but will have to follow some strict rules in the meantime.

Bubba's Bar and Grill's liquor license was revoked on August 30 after the ABCA deemed it to have "public safety issues."

The license was reinstated on Friday, the same day Jason Chad Vincent, 30, of Fairmont was charged with malicious wounding for a fight that put Greg Harrison in the ICU for several weeks.

Harrison's skull was fractured and he had to have part of it removed to relieve pressure. As of Friday, Harrison's condition had improved, and he was alert and talking, according to lead investigator Detective Dustin Hotsinpiller.

The ABCA says it's worked out an improvement plan with Bubba's.

They will now close their doors at midnight, install a decibel meter to address noise issues, and no one will be allowed to park on or near the sidewalk in front of the bar.

The ABCA says it will monitor activities closely.
