Last Thursday, Buckhannon Police went from business to business trying to see if anyone would sell alcohol to their underage operative. The only one to fail the test was Smoker Friendly. That store clerk was cited for furnishing alcohol to an underage person.

In another sting on Friday Police used what they call the "shoulder tapping" method. The underage informant stood outside of stores and asked people entering to buy them beer. All of the individuals were aware that the informant was underage. Only one of the five individuals approached bought the beer. When police followed the car that the person got into, they made another discovery. The driver of that vehicle was drunk.

Police arrested Chad Williams for DUI and driving while suspended. The owner of the car was charged with permitting DUI. Scottie Everett Jr. was cited with furnishing alcohol to an underage person.
