A sinkhole on Route 50 in Bridgeport causes the Department of Highways to shut it down, now Crystal Ridge Home Owners are upset.

Water seems to cause Route 50 to slip making it dangerous for drivers, but now it's the people living in the neighborhood above who are paying the price.

The City of Bridgeport, DOH, and plan developer Dan Ryan Builders are working to get folks to stop driving through that neighborhoods should only have about 900 cars coming through a day, and right now they estimated a total of 1,600 cars.

There are about 20 kids under the age of 12 living there, and drivers are apparently ignoring detour and speeds limit signs.

District Manager Greg Phillips says, they hope to finish the $2 millions dollar project within a couple months, but these drilling projects take time.

Authorities ask that folks not living in that neighborhood take detours, and Police will continue to patrol the area.
