More than 300 community volunteers came out for the annual United Way "Day of Caring".

It's estimated that more than $35,000 worth of is done on Day of Caring.
Volunteers from about 40 area businesses got to work on projects at 25 different sites throughout the day.

They had a kickoff party at Mountaineer Mall, and then headed out to places like Rock Forge Neighborhood House, Sundale Nursing Home, and PACE TEC.

Businesses like the WVU Foundation, Centra Bank, Allegheny Energy, ResCare and Teletech sent out volunteers.

Folks painted, cleaned, landscaped and visited clients all afternoon.
