Darrah Wilcox joined the the News Channel Five team in January 2006. She reports three weekdays in Monongalia and Preston Counties, and helps produce and report for the weekend shows.

Born in Huntington, she graduated magna cum laude from Marshall University in December 2004 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism and minors in Political Science and Spanish. During her four years with the Thundering Herd, she interned for KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh and WSAZ in Huntington. She devoted many hours to student organizations like Society of Professional Journalists, National Broadcasting Society, Golden Key and served as president for Phi Eta Sigma national honor society. In her spare time she has spent many hours working with Big Brothers / Big Sisters. She also loves learning about new cultures and has toured much of Spain and parts of Central America.

Darrah enjoys working out and trying new cooking skills--with a specialty in blackened dishes. Though she misses her family back in Huntington, she still feels right at home in Mountaineer country!
