Amanda is the Anchor and Producer of NewsChannel Five;'s weekend 6:00pm and 11:00pm newscasts, and also covers Your Hometown News in Marion and Taylor counties.She joined the News Channel Five team in December 2006, less than two weeks after finishing school.

Born and raised north of Pittsburgh in Fawn Township, she graduated summa cum laude from Point Park University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. Before starting at WDTV, she had internships at KDKA-TV and WTAE. Amanda also worked at Point Park’s new TV studio and held many roles for the school’s hour long “On The Point Special Editions,” which air on WBGN TV. Her roles included director, reporter, and anchor.

Amanda’s thrilled to be working relatively close to home in a field she loves. Although she misses her friends and family from home, she’s enjoying meeting and working with the great people in North Central West Virginia.
In her spare time, Amanda likes reading, writing poetry, watching Steelers games, and catching up on her favorite TV shows.
