Julia Pizzonia joined New Channel Five's team in February 2007. She reports weekdays for Harrison, Lewis and Doddridge Counties.

She was born and raised in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh.

Before coming to WDTV, Julia graduated from Point Park University in May 2006, with a broadcast journalism degree. While at Point Park she participated in their "On the Point" magazine show as Technical Director. Also she shot, produced and edited a five minute feature piece.

During college, Julia obtained two news internships at KDKA-TV and WTAE-TV of Pittsburgh. At both stations, she spent time with reporters and photographers learning how to interview and write stories.

When not at the station, she loves exercising, eating, dancing and traveling, though she misses the 'burgh she is happy to report close to home in West Virginia.
