Katelyn Sykes joined the 5 News team in July of 2007 and reports in Upshur, Barbour, and Randolph Counties.

Katelyn always knew she wanted to be a reporter. Originally from Pittsburgh, she is a 2007 West Virginia University graduate with a degree in broadcast journalism and business. While on campus, Katelyn was a reporter for WVU News, a statewide news program on WV PBS and reported for the campus radio station, U92-FM.

When she's not at the station, Katelyn enjoys shopping, spending time with friends, playing lacrosse, baking, and cheering on the Penguins, Rangers, Steelers and Mountaineers.
