A man armed with a shotgun, a bow and a samurai sword is arrested Friday near the nation's capitol. Michael Gorbey, 38, is being charged with "felon in possession of a firearm."

More charges are pending after he reportedly attempted to go to the U.S. Supreme Court's office with weapons in hand. He said he went there to "take care of business."

Capitol police quickly arrested Gorbey, then called in a bomb squad to check his truck that was parked nearby for explosives. Several streets were evacuated because of the investigation.

Meanwhile, Gorbey's criminal wrap-sheet is long, with weapons charges in several states, including West Virginia.

Two years ago, he was accused of having a loaded firearm at Mason-Dixon Elementary School in Monongalia County. Deputies said Gorbey had a .22 caliber handgun loaded with eight rounds of ammunition when he went to pick up his kids from school.

State Police in Morgantown confirm he was arrested yet again in August 2006 for a probation violation out of Virginia also on other weapons charges. Gorbey's family still lives in West Virginia.
