It just took two hours, but a Monongalia County jury has found a Pennsylvania man guilty of driving drunk, killing five people and injuring seven others in July 2007.

Brian Stone, 33, is convicted of a total of 25 counts: five counts of DUI causing death, five counts of leaving the scene of an accident with DUI causing death, seven separate charges of DUI with injury, seven counts of leaving the scene of an accident with DUI causing injury, and of one count of DUI third or subsequent offense. The verdict came down around 3:00 p.m. Friday in Monongalia County Court in Morgantown.

An accident constructionist said at the time, it was the worst scene he's faced in nearly a decade. A nurse said Stone was smiling as he was given a blood alcohol test. Stone took the stand himself Thursday, saying that he did drink that evening but was not impaired. He said a blown tire is to blame for the accident.

A sentencing date has not been set yet. Stone faces more than 80 years if convicted.
