Men Arrested For Copper Theft

Marion County Sheriff's Deputies arrest two men for Friday's copper theft.

Saturday morning deputies arrested 19-year-old Jeremy Caswell and 21-year-old Travis Watson and charged them with grand larceny for a copper theft at R & W Cable in Baxter.

Early Friday morning deputies responded to a break-in there and spotted a truck leaving the scene. They then chased the vehicle all the way into Monongalia County where they were finally able to apprehend the suspects. They found over $5,000 worth of copper in the back of the truck

One juvenile was arrested Friday and released back to their parents.

Watson was released on bone and Caswell's being held in the North Central Regional Jail. Deputies say additional charges against the men may be pending.
