High school students with a flair for science are getting a chance to showcase their knowledge.

Wesleyan College is hosting the 43rd Annual West Virginia Regional Junior Science and Humanities Symposium this weekend. The symposium gives 9th to 12th grade students the opportunity to present their work in science, math, and engineering. The competition also provides scholarship opportunities, including 4-year renewable $5,000 awards from Wesleyan College to the first and second place winners.

The event began today and runs through tomorrow.
