Bus Crash Sends Student to the Hospital

Carrie Jones

An accident on I-68 Sunday left a bus full of Ohio students stranded in Preston county for hours.

The crash happened just before 5:00 p.m. near mile marker 18.

The Principal of Shelby High School says the bus was carrying 45 band students on their way home from a trip to Washington, D.C.

According to the "Mansfield News Journal", a teacher on board says a car coming up the wrong way of the interstate hit a guard rail then steered head on into the bus.

One student was taken to the hospital for an elbow injury.

The bus made it back to Ohio by 4:00 a.m.
