A family is now homeless after fire rips through a home in Wallace Wednesday evening.

Several fire departments responded to the blaze just after 8:30pm. Crews say the structure was fully engulfed when they arrived on scene.

The family was not home when the fire started. Because of fire, smoke and water damage, the house is being ruled a total loss.

A cause of the fire was not determined on scene.
