The Harrison Lewis County Drug Task Force makes major drug arrests this afternoon.

This investigation started over a year ago for 16 people involved in prescription drug related crimes, and out of those 16, nine people were arrested and arraigned today.

-Daniel James Sowards, 39, Delivery of Hydromophone
-Robin Foster, 42, Delivery of Hydrocodone
-Ron Thompson, 53, Delivery of Hydrocodone
-Beverly Lycans, 54, Attempt to obtain a controlled substance by misrepresentation and obtaining controlled substances by misrepresentation, Hydrocodone
-Pete H. Fugini, 34, Delivery of Oxycodone
-Dianna Baez, 39, Delivery of Marijuana
-Crystal Pugh, 28, Delivery of Alprazolam
-Travis Fincham, 22, Delivery of Morphine Sulfate
-Brenda Cummings, 35, Obtaining controlled substance, Hydrocodone, by misrepresentation

Authorities say, prescription drugs kill more people than illegal drugs a year.

This investigation was a combination of the Lewis and Harrison Sheriff's Department, along with the Bridgeport and Clarksburg Police Departments.
