Across the nation, flags are flown at half-staff to honor those who have been killed in the line of duty.

Today is National Peace Officer's Memorial Day which is set aside every year to pay tribute to those who serve and protect us everyday. Members of the law enforcement community were on hand this morning at the Upshur County Commission meeting to be recognized for their daily duty and to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Memorial services are being held across the nation, including in Washington, D.C.
