Vice President Dick Cheney makes a stab at West Virginian, and while he apologized folks in the Mountain State aren't letting him off the hook.

Cheney's comment may have been funny to him, but it's no laughing matter to West Virginians.

Cheney says, "had Cheney's on both sides of the family. And we don't even live in West Virginia, You can say those things when you're not running for reelection."

Bridgeport Mayor Jim Christie says, Cheney is an intelligent man, but the only thing I can say about his comment is a "sign of ignorance."

Governor Joe Manchin demanded an apology and says, "I truly cannot believe that any vice president of the United States, regardless of their political affiliation, would make such a derogatory statement about my state or any state that matter."

Senator Jay Rockefeller questioned Cheney's apology and says, "The Vice President should be more careful about cheap shots aimed at the very people who elected him."
