Winter weather caused damaged roads, so this summer starts major paving projects for the Division of Highways.

The projects involve six counties, and Harrison county has just under three million dollars worth of paving work.

Those projects include roads on route 19, Saltwell road, and major roads through Bridgeport.

DOH crews were out today paving streets, so they want drivers to be patient.

They hope to get these projects finished as quickly as possible.

-Doddridge county: $1,260,000
-Harrison county: $2,985,000
-Marion county: $3,845,000
-Monongalia county: $3,520,000
-Preston county: $2,835,000
-Taylor county: $1,460,000

And as you can see these numbers, Marion county has the biggest project at just under four millions dollars, and even Taylor county will have over a million dollars worth of paving.

This includes maintaining and reconstructing seriously damaged roads.
