Morgantown police have identified a man who tried to snatch a 14-year old girl, thanks to several phone calls from the community.

It happened late Tuesday night at the Patteson Drive Kroger when the girl and her mom were shopping. The girl went to use the restroom, that's when the man in the picture followed her in and grabbed her tightly.  She screamed and struggled to get away and the man ran away.

Morgantown Police Detective Division supervisor 1st Sgt. Steve Ford says they want to thank all the folks in the community who called in to help identify the man.  They haven't released his identity yet because the investigation is still underway.
