Thanks to the help from concerned citizens, three Randolph County residents are behind bars for operating a meth lab.

It all started Saturday morning around 9:00 when the Elkins Detachment of the State Police received an annonymous tip of a meth lab in downtown Elkins.

After a search warrant was obtained, police arrested Carisa Confere, Frank Spears and Adona Holsey all charged with operating or attempting to operate a meth lab.

Troopers confiscated most of the ingredients to produce the drug including matches, psudophedrine and hydrous ammonia tanks, enough of which could have produced between $8,000-$9,000 worth of the drug. State Troopers say meth is a dangerous drug and that's why law enforcement is so active in stopping the production.

Trooper J.E. Kopec who's investigating the case says they had all the ingredients to make the drug, yet this lab was not in progress.

The three are also charged with conspiracy and more charges could be pending. Troopers say additional arrests could also be made.

Of course stay tuned to Five News for the latest details as they become available.
