Over the weekend, State Troopers got an anonymous tip of a meth lab on Delaware Avenue in downtown Elkins. There they confiscated numerous materials to make meth, as well as arresting three people. Monday they arrested the owner of the home, Travis Woods, and he's also been charged with conspiracy, and attempting to operate a meth lab. Woods is currently behind bars at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.

State Police say meth is an extremely dangerous drug for anyone around. If chemicals aren't mixed correctly explosions can occur and it has happened in the past. The chemical vapors used to make meth are also dangerous to the lungs.  But it doesn't just affect the drug user, it affects folks near the drug production.

And now you can help state police crack down on meth labs throughout the area. If you notice anything suspicious going on in your neighborhood, give them a call at 637-0200.
