A local college earns a honor from a national publication. West Virginia Wesleyan is one of four state universities to be named a "College of Distinction" by Student Horizons, Inc. For it's criteria, the magazine looks at great teaching, community, success of graduates, and engagement of students in the college. Other West Virginia institutions to earn the distinction this year are Bethany, Concord University, and the University of Charleston.
