An interim president has been selected by Fairmont State University's Board of Governors.

Their selection, right now only being identified as "Candidate A", was chosen after the BOG interviewed one of three finalists for the position Wednesday afternoon.

While the interim president-elect is not being named, BOG Chairman Andy Kniceley says the school interviewed candidates including retired chancellors, retired presidents of state colleges, and retired senior administrators as well as people currently on staff at the school.

The interim president will take over for out-going President Dan Bradley who leaves the school on July 30th to take the head position at Indiana State University.
